Today was the first day of the Summer Immersion Program at Girls Who Code! It has been a fun learning experience. I got to meet my advisory group and learn some fun facts about the other girls as well as the teachers. Making wireframes for this webpage was pretty time-consuming but it was fun to flex my creative muscles. Once I actually began coding the html for the website I found that it was repetitive in a comforting way. I enjoy seeing how changes in the code are reflected in the appearance of the page and it's nice to have certain rules and guidelines in the language because I don't feel as lost. A little joyful moment was looking through my old art to find placeholder images for each of the pages. I'm looking forward to prettying up the site tomorrow when we get to learn CSS!
